| CLEANING TECHNIQUE FOR
PENNIES This supposedly came out of a museum store catalog. You need 1/4 cup of white vinegar, and a teaspoon of salt. Mix the salt with the vinegar until it is dissolved. Then, put the pennies desired to be polished into the mixture and let is sit for 5 minutes. If you leave it in too long, a green, unremovable growth will appear on the pennies. 5 minutes max. Then when the 5 minutes is over, remove the pennies, and wash thoroughly. They look almost as if they came straight from the mint! This technique even gets the black tarnish off! |
