January 09, 2009 is the Club day at Frontiers of Flight Museum, 6911 Lemmon Ave. Dallas, TX 75209 (east side of Love field) 12 Noon to 5 PM (museum closes at 5pm) See a fabulous collection of history of flight from gliders to Apollo 7 capsule, and: A special limited time exhibit of a highly modified unlimited Class speed racer based on a British Hawker “Sea Fury” airframe. Over 3100 hp, 460mph+ 18 Cylinder (Wright R3350 26WD “Sky Raider engined) “Spirit of Texas”, locally owned by Stewart Dawson and wife of Celina, TX. The most fantastic paint job of any Unlimited Class featuring the Texas lone Star!
