LMC 2008 REPORT

Dear friends and Jaguarists,

I'll have to travel many times to Little Rock, Phoenix and Dallas before the end of the year.

I would thus appreciate to try to take part in one of your monthly dinners and show you the best photographs of the "LE MANS CLASSIC 2008", as promised to Cliff and Dennis. Do you already know the places and dates?

We had a greater success than in 2006 with 6800 cars of the different clubs of all makes (instead of 5400) , 82000 people on Saturday ( 73000), 167 jaguars in the Jaguar space (100) . Two of five "Plateau" races have been won by a Jaguars, C TYPE and D TYPE, with a very good performance compared to the 50's ( without chicanes of the Hunaudideres straight line).

Welcome and meals at Sillé Le Guillaume were perfect and we received specific gifts from the Maire and the President of the Office du Tourisme for our fidelity, with a nice article in the OUEST FRANCE newspaper.

The FJDC KIR drink on Saturday morning gave us the opportunity to talk to UK and FR jaguar clubs Presidents to prepare the next LE MANS CLASSIC event (July 2010) and also the 50th anniversary of the E TYPE in Europe (May 2011). The British JDC is preparing a memorable European Tour and one of the official French stops will be at the Chateau of LA SAYETTE. We think we can assemble more than 100 E TYPE.

Wishing you all the best for your vacation.

Best Jag regards.

Lionel De La Sayette
