2005 JOASW Holiday Party Report
More Party Pictures Here

Not only was the weather wild & crazy Saturday Nite December 3, but the fabulous Club Christmas Party held at the beautifully decorated home of out-going prexy, David & Judy Nichols was a truly un-forgettable evening with our Jaguars & Friends gathered around the Christmas Tree for the Club traditional “Jaguar Grab Bag” fete, hosted by that perennial jolly Santa, Jon Heber. The hit of the evening was a seemingly perverted “dancing moose “ gift which must have come from Diane & Jim and taken home by Sandy, for what purpose we can only imagine!

The members arrived in their perfectly tuned Jaguars, gunned into Denton on an unusually clear, warm nite loaded with the famous Club libations and pot-luck buffet which included every known delicacy and favorite of the members—a sumptuous feast from fresh shrimp to a deadly chocolate brownie/cake(?) that must have weighed 17 pounds!
Tuxedoed Paul, David, Buck Cliff were not even a match for the astoundingly clad Sandy, Joan, Margaret, Sherry, Judy and Lynn. Greetings and pictures were exchanged during the cocktail portion of the evening with Sherry Sivils providing the candid shots. As the outside temperature dropped fast, Jon Heber took up the heat inside with the “Jaguar Grab Bag” gift exchange.

This tradition within JOASW was continued in 2005 with an eclectic assortment of gifts from the sublime to the ridiculous including Jaguar model cars, of course, Jaguar slippers, jaguar dog-feeders, Jaguar caps, etc, not to leave out the afore-mentioned “dancing moose”! Whatever happened to plain ‘ol Rudolph, the red-nose reindeer? Well, it appears that the members are getting more rowdy, especially some of the new members feeling their ‘first time” Concours wins in \September.

As the temperature outside continued to drop and the excitement inside peaked, the members collected their gifts, gave blessings for those less fortunate & our troops in Iraq. The Jaguars fired up and left for home, dwelling in the reverie & fellowship of JOASW for another fantastic Club year.

Respectfully Submitted, The Directors
