Report from Mercy Wine Bar

There is no doubt that all alleviation from distress and other worldly cares was administered by Vincent Havard, GM of MERCY to the JOASW members who attended last weeks' "first Tuesday". From the posh, comfy and living room-like seating in our Jaguar Flag draped very own balcony we were whisked off into an oenophile's nirvana with more wine choices by the glass than tire-size selections before this year's Concour's d'Elegance season! All you had to do was describe your preferences in color, bouquet, nose, after-taste and /or wine growing region and Vincents' crew served up a tantalizing glass of vino, customized to your taste's-even Dennis's. Of course, some of us were just as happy with our auld tried and true cheapo Louis Jadot beojolais from the provinces.

Even the cuisine selections were varied and outstanding accompanying the wines, which the members sampled along with a heavy dose of Club activities reported on and planned into the Spring 2004. With the JCNA AGM coming up this month containing a plethora of rule changes, etc, the likes of which have not been seen in the entire 46 year history of JCNA-but that's another report coming from your delegates Cheever/Mathews, who will be in the thick of it stirring up a hornets nest of controversy and look out for the St Patrick's Day parade on March 14 where your Club is the featured car club with all the Irish festivities. Of course, Spring is now upon us with the SAJC hosted "Fling", so shine up those Jaguars and get 'em out for all the fun.

Subject to approval of the JOASW BOD, Mercy wine Bar is a candidate for appointment as the designated "JOASW Wine Bar for 2004" We all voted to go there again very soon to corroborate our first opinions. And, as the powerful Jaguars purred off into the night, we give thanks for the wonderful comradeship amongst our Club members and also to Millennium Motors for their support in providing an X-type on display and the litter of 4 Jaguar Kitties as door prizes!
