JOASW All British Car Day Report
The 20th Annual All British Car Show for 2004 attracted over 260 British and European vehicles to the White Rock lake field thanks to the
organization and operation of the new managers, Kip & Debra of Kip
Motors and their friendly crew. JOASW was out in numbers and hosted our Club hospitality tent in the new Club Area introduced by Debra of Motors this year.
The top, winning Jaguar this year was Jim Bannon's all original , owned since new, fabulous signal red XK-150 Roadster. Congratulations, Jim, who was accompanied by his grandson, winner also of the Club drawing, a 24 hour mariner's watch!
It was great to see Chas Knappenberger with his prize winning '96 XJS, as well as, Fred's XJS and David's (just out of the shop) XJS with a fantastic matching new front clip paint job. Michael & Tracy brought their XK-140 for some air. Dave & Margaret with their winning XJ6 and Cliff introduced his new XJR. Vic & Dale braved the weather in the XK-120 OTS top down with the new fuel pump installed after last year's Top Jaguar Win at All British Car Day. That trio beat it out to the Ranchman's Café in Ponder, supercharger whining and twin cams turning for some unique Texas steak & Carlisle Winery Shiraz, provided by Vic.
It was another fun day in the spirit of Jaguar and please check out our
Sponsors website for more info on www.kipmotor.com. They did a great job and deserve our support as a friend of JOASW.
