JCOA Garage Tour Report |

On May 5, 2004 several members of your JOASW made a high-speed run to Austin to join the Jaguar Club of Austin's Annual Garage Tour, starting at the Maund Jaguar Showroom on the MOPAC. David Nichols, Fred Carvajal and Cliff Mathews joined about 20 members of JCOA for serious Jaguar study. We ended the Tour at Jeff's Resurrections in Taylor Texas, treated to a world class restoration shop including the Temple's XKD in for a BRG paint job-cant wait to see the finished product-the subject of a future story on the background and history of this unique race car from Lynx. The group ended up for dinner at the historic Coupland Inn and Texas dancehall where scenes from movies Original Lonesome Dove, Cadillac Ranch, A Perfect World
and Stevie Ray Vaughn's Changeit video were shot, among others. |
