33rd CONCOURS ANNUAL AUCTION

Record setting attendance supports the Club

Over 40 members attended the Concours Auction Saturday nite held at the Orion Antiques Porte Cochere complete with a pot luck supper and refreshments.
More than 100 auction items donated by the members from a two carat antique Peridot ring to float trips, to
dinners out, to Jaguar memorabilia and even Labrador pups were on the auction block to raise money for the
33rd Concours d' Elegance to be held September 23, 2003 at the Las Colinas country Club.

JOASW perennial favorite auctioneer, Jon Heber handled the fast and sometimes furious bidding which started at 8pm, lasting until past 10pm with the bulk of the donated junk, I mean items SOLD. There was the usual banter between Eloy and Knick, bidding on items for the other to take home! As usual, the members couldn't keep up with the bidding pace, or can't count and several bids were tossed out! Top bidders for the evening were tom & Gail Smith for the 41' Chris craft cruise on Lake Texoma, donated by the James Patricks
on board the Club yacht, "Irish Ayes".

A fun time was had by all as, we completely devoured the Trombley's home made German pound cake for dessert, and also had one to auction off! Thanks to the many workers and contributors to our fund raiser auction who made it a great success, contributing to the Jaguar Owners Club 2003 program. As the Jaguars fired up and passed off into the night, we can only revel in the fellowship of our grand Club with the detritus of the auction packed into one XJ40!
